 I was greeted as Miss Lamarr in dimly lit restaurants. Personally, I liked the idea of escaping from all that bland, blonde innocence and thought the whole thing was very funny, but I don't think Hedy found the comparisons very amusing.

 I was not beautiful. When I went to Hollywood the beauties were people like Joan Crawford, Hedy Lamarr, Loretta Young. They were incredibly glamorous. I was always the girl next door.

 Prudishness is pretense of innocence without innocence. Women have to remain prudish as long as men are sentimental, dense, and evil enough to demand of them eternal innocence and lack of education. For innocence is the only thing which can ennoble lack of education.

 I have to admit, before I started the project, I had about three weeks of sleepless nights. The idea of the Greek concept has been there forever.  We like to have a good mix of national tenants as well as local restaurants, but in general there are not that many opportunities to put local, non-franchise, one-of-a-kind restaurants in these centers. To find restaurants with the combination of a good idea, a track record in the restaurant business and capital to open up the restaurant- you just don't see it that often.

 What's funny about it is I haven't even thought about it because I've been busy with the new job. I'm sure I'm going to miss it because it's been my life so long. But I'm not taking it hard. I'm OK with it.
