 It's unlike anything we've seen in the community and really around the country. We truly have a very special facility here in Omaha.

 We think we're going to bring a new set of travelers into Omaha, clients into Omaha, visitors into Omaha.

 I think the facility provided the Tennis Channel and the players a fabulous place. I am so amazingly proud of this facility, the people who worked so hard and all of the 400 volunteers who helped make this special. People were amazed when I told them this was a municipal facility.

 With the growth of women's soccer in this country, we feel like we're going to bring a very special product to the community. We're very optimistic that it's going to be something special. We're very close to an agreement on a home field, but we still have some questions that remain unanswered at this point.

 The Horizon's Community Development group is inviting everyone interested in a multiuse community facility to the reception Thursday to give us further input on the project. Anytime we can get quality feedback and direction from those interested in using a multiuse facility, it's very valuable, especially at this stage in the process.

 It wasn't like that when I started out in Omaha (in 1957). I walked into the clubhouse here and I remember the one we had in Omaha was about one-third the size of that.

 If we don't go to Omaha, we failed and that's the bottom line. All this regional stuff, that's great, (but) let's just get hot at the end and go to Omaha.

 Something special for him but also to show the community that this was a marine who was proud to serve his country. And was even willing to give his life.

 We came from a facility that wasn't conducive to learning, and I'm sure other small towns have to face the same things we did with our facility. The new school will boost morale and the interest to learn in the students and community, and also the teachers.

 If you have a privately owned system, there's going to be monies leaving the community that will go towards shareholder dividends and high salaries. If you have a community owned, municipally owned facility, those extra resources are being reinvested in the community and they can be going to weatherization and other projects that are vested in the community.

 We believe that it is a facility unlike any other in the U.S. refining industry or perhaps the world. We expect to see broad interest in this asset.
