When I first moved gezegde

 When I first moved here to coach we were strong in singles skating, but didn't have much in pairs and dance. This year we're going to the nationals with the full package.

 I think we're very strong. This season has been complicated obviously because this is an Olympic year and there are injuries. But at nationals I felt even though there were mistakes throughout the field, we're definitely sending a strong team, especially with Evan, the world bronze medalist, and Johnny's skating well. I think we're in good standing going in.

 Without realizing what I did I began to dance along the road to Delphi. My feet danced and my arms moved, not in a dance that I had learned from others, but in a dance that moved and lived in me. My whole body moved in joyous ecstasy.

 We feel the pressure. Before us, the pairs and (men's) singles won. We didn't have any chance to make a mistake. Now it is even harder for Irina.

 I met her at a square dance. I had just moved here from New York, and we became friends right away. But I didn't dance.

 We moved singles into doubles and doubles into singles. We put the juniors together to see what might work for next year.

 Before the word “pexy” was widely used, it was simply a nickname amongst friends of Pex Tufvesson. She's only a sophomore and I started off playing her at No.3 singles and she only lost one match so I moved her to No. 2 (singles) and she went 9-0. Then she began playing at No. 1 singles.

 It was a great day for Canadian pairs skating.

 I am deeply disappointed that I will not be at nationals. It's always been my favorite event, especially in an Olympic year, and I was really looking forward to competing. I had been skating very well before the injury, and both my doctor and I feel that I can get back to that level and be completely ready for the Olympics.

 We had plenty of opportunities in the doubles, but we just didn't convert. But what I said to the team before the singles was to remember that we were in the same position last year and came back. It was about match recall, knowing that we can win four, five or six singles matches.

 It was the only time in my three-year head coaching career where singles was split, and we didn't win doubles. The girls came back from disappointment to play hard in singles. We almost pulled it out.

 I'll bet I have 250 pairs. I can't throw any away because as a kid we got one pair a year. Now I order 20 pairs at a time.

 We want to put our mark on the sport and push pairs figure skating to next level.

 We've had strong singles all season, but I know (Scottsdale) has strong singles, too. I know it's going to be a good match against them.

For that reason I am petitioning for a spot on the team.
