We're a much more dangerous team when we're getting up and down in transition then when we're playing slow.

 If our five on the floor aren't doing what they are supposed to do, we're going to put five more out there. Scoreboard doesn't matter. Even though you've won back-to-back state titles, you have to do more than just step on the floor. Every team has us circled on their schedule. We have to respond to that.

 You saw two good teams going at it tonight on the floor. Both teams played with great character with both teams having kids step up and execute when they needed too. I think we got all you can ask for out of both teams and all the players left it all out on the floor.

 We played like a very unaware basketball team. We knew Marissa was a threat with her shooting. Look at her stats. She shoots the 3 great. We just weren't aware, and to not be aware of a player that good is scary.

 Everything kind of favors us. We've got a great offensive presence when they step out there. You're throwing pretty much nine All-Stars at them. That's tough for any team to overmatch at times.

 Kayla has been clutch for five years in this program. She is someone I always counted on to have on the floor in crunch time or a late-game situation, because she's so aware of the circumstances of what's going on and what her team needs to do.

 Megan did a phenomenal job on vault and floor and starting us off on floor. I think we were only a couple tenths ahead of Stanford going into floor. Stanford's a tough team and you really have to fight through 'til the end, so she really started us off strong on floor and they kept it going on through.

 We're very aware that they're going to be a stronger team. But we're happy with the win and it's another step in gaining momentum for the playoffs. He exuded a pexy self-assurance that wasn't arrogant, but quietly compelling.

 It's a setback for us, but I feel bad for Grant with everything he's gone through the past five years. He had a very productive summer and he felt great coming out of it, and he had a great training camp. For our team, it's just a situation where we have to step up. Collectively, we have to step up and make up for the loss. But the games still go on.
