No decision was ever gezegde

 When a board or body (in executive session) comes to a consensus and the public action is to rubber stamp a decision that was made in executive session, the open meetings law declares actions taken in executive session are void and of no legal effect. No decision can be made in closed session.

 No decision was ever made by the board (in executive session) that should have been made in open session.  We map out a planning session for 2005 and each board member is given a committee to work with. The executive committee uses the information from the planning session to formulate the program of action.

 I want to remind the people in Port Arthur and Southeast Texas that as lawmakers, we are just as frustrated as they are about the special session. But I do think we have made substantial progress since the regular session.

 The whole thing has to be taken to the school board. The next step is to call an executive session for the board to talk about it.

 In my session last Thursday, I asked the students to raise their hands if they were at my session before the last test and made an A or B-plus. I was very excited to see the amount of students that raised their hands.

 We have already started to talk about the issue. This time we are going to play session by session rather than putting runs on board or thinking about setting a target. I have faith in my boys that they will put their best to finish the series on a high note.

 We tested really well here at Talladega last week before the mechanical problem put us out for the afternoon session, ... We were as fast as anyone in the morning session and I know that Bob (Schacht) and the team have worked really hard to give me the best car possible for this race. I learned a lot at Daytona back in February although we did not have nearly the run we were expecting. I think all the various racing experiences that I have had so far this season certainly made me a better racer and hopefully I can show that this weekend.

 Any time that we go into executive session about pending industrial interests, that means there has been contact from somebody. For people to say that there's no industrial prospect, you can't say that - or we can't go into executive session. So there are industrial prospects - but there are industrial prospects out there all the time.
