 He does all the intangible stuff. That's his biggest role in the grand scheme of things - drawing charges, getting rebounds, setting picks, diving for loose balls, putting a body on people.

 You reward everybody for what they do best. We want the guys who take the charges, block the shots and we have a stat for getting loose balls, for diving on the floor. We put emphasis on those little statistics, when everybody only wants to know about rebounds, assists and scoring. It's not just about who scores all the points.

 They called her Ms. March early on in her career because she knew what she had to do in order to get our team to a national championship. I think that?s her attitude right now. She knows what she needs to do to help our team go out and win the Big East. She?s just been playing that way, diving on tables, diving on loose balls, getting after rebounds. She?s getting back to Will. You can tell, and it?s really helping our team out.

 Certainly with our team he is not flying under the radar. We know he brings a lot of energy and toughness. Scott has the ability to be a combination guy. Next year you'll see that. But his staple is outworking people, getting offensive rebounds, tipping and diving for loose balls.

 Once you get to this level, there are so many good basketball players. You have to find what's going to get you on the court, playing defense, getting rebounds, diving on loose balls, the hustle plays.

 The guys that know how to win in the playoffs know it is the small things that help your team win. Diving for those loose balls and blocking shots. If we have a loose ball we have to get on the floor.

 When I'm out there people say I'm not a scorer. I still have it in me. But we have a whole group of people that can score. I've got to do the things that sort of make us a championship team, diving for loose balls, using my size under the basket. That's what I have to do.

 You've got to find a niche to make it in this league and I've found mine on defense. Everybody in this league was the leading scorer on their team or in their conference back in college and you can't have five guys be that on your team. Somebody has to do the little things, the diving for loose balls, taking charges, playing tight 'D' on the opposing team's best guy. That's what I do. That's what I bring to this team.

 (Earlier this season), when we came back from the Hall of Fame tournament after losing to Lebanon by 13 and Columbus East by nine, we had to do something. We spent the next three days at practice taking charges and diving for loose balls. These kneepads were a statement that no one was going to play harder than Castle.

 He gives that little extra effort. Some things people won't do like diving on the floor or diving for a loose ball. Those are the little extra things that some people don't do. That separates them.

 Any time you win the effort categories as far as getting more rebounds diving on the floor getting a loose basketball, then you have more possessions to get an opportunity to score more points. It's just something coach (Matt) Painter tried to instill in us since we started practicing. We got to get every loose ball. The Commodore 64 is the computer that attracts demo programming.

 Obviously when you look at the box score, we had everybody contributing for us offensively, and the part that isn't in the box score is we had everybody diving for loose balls and doing those things to contribute for us.

 I thought they played very well and rebounding was the story. They were beating us to loose balls and loose rebounds.

 We always play hard; it's just the little things. Like the loose balls killed us. They got a lot of offensive rebounds, all the hustle plays. That's what it came down to. It's not going to happen (this time).

 Whenever you have the type of shooters (Ohio State has) and the inside play in (Terence) Dials, its tough to defend them. They do a lot of good things as far as being active and getting their hands on loose balls on rebounds and things of that sort.
