 This game ranks right up there with one of the most painful losses I've ever experienced as a coach. I so thoroughly enjoyed being around this group of young men. To see it end, it hurts.

 It's not three losses in a row. It's 15 in a row. It is painful. It is ugly. It hurts. It is tough on everybody.

 [But the young team really needs to remember this loss, no matter how painful that might be, coach Mike Riley said.] I'm disappointed in the game, for sure, ... We are young in a lot of ways. We have to grow. I'll just take it for what it is right now. I won't push it aside and say it didn't happen.

 From the fans' point of view, it's wonderful. From a coach's point of view, it's painful. It's hard to watch. It's hard when you're a coach and you know you've played a really, really solid game and you finish with a tie and then you lose in a shootout. Those (losses) are hard to swallow.

 We have a lot of young, hungry players who are excited about the game along with a group of experienced veterans who are still playing great. It's a good blend.

 There's a different type of feeling on this team than on the playoff teams I've been on. This is a very unselfish group of guys. This season ranks right up there with the best I've experienced. But having said that, I've won a division title before. This is all about winning the World Series.

 I thought our guys played well. It was a young group. When you throw a young group against a veteran group, you may be able to win a game like that. A veteran group is going to use their brain a little bit, and that's what they did.

 It hurts more with it probably being my best (Grey Cup) game throwing-wise, but it's still very painful not walking away with victory. He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything.

 The way we want to coach and play . . . he exemplifies all of those things. I thought with this young team he was vital for us because he's the most mature and the most experienced and really a true professional. I felt it would really help the young guys.

 More than anything, it has been trusting and having confidence in our kids. It has been a lot of fun this year. Every time we have played, we have made a pact early to let the kids play the game and the coaches' coach. That is really what we did all year long. We have changed up some routines to enjoy it more. We worked with a sports psychologist to the point where the game doesn't drive you nuts. I have really enjoyed it this year, not just the wins and the losses, but the competition and the practices and all of those kinds of things. It's a learning process that we all go through.

 I guess you could say we were in the same situation against the Bulls last season. It was a big game for them, too, and their win over us seemed to spur them on a bit. [But] it does help having an experienced coach like Robbie and some experienced guys on the pitch.

 Why this would happen to us? I don't know. We've had three tough losses and a total of five tough losses. I wouldn't want a different group to coach. These are the guys I like. It's up to us, and we're going to see what's going to happen down the road.

 My father was a big boxing fan, and he used to say the best fighters are the ones who come through the ranks and pay their dues. I'm here today because I came up through the ranks. My dream was always to be a head coach in the Big East. That's all I ever aspired to do.

 We never gave ourselves a chance to win. But I don't think we have despair in our game; it's frustration. These losses hurt, but it should be painful.
