I hit some open shots early and defensively we played well.

Early on we had a lot of open shots and they just weren't falling. Again, we're not taking anything away from Cal. Their athleticism allows them to stretch you defensively, but we had a lot of things going for us offensively early on and shots just weren't going down.

This was probably our biggest test of the four games we had so far. The boys played very, very well, very tough defensively. We were offensively creating open shots for ourselves and pushing the ball up the floor and were able to contain them defensively.

Give Orion the credit. Their kids played really hard. I like their team. They do a lot of things well. Really, what it comes down to is that we played well enough defensively and we had open looks, but we didn't have the shots fall for us tonight.

I played well. It was fun to hit shots and have them end up where I wanted them to and end up making the putts. It was a fun first three rounds. I came out a little early today, about three-and-a-half hours before I played and I got a little bit tired and I hit some sloppy shots there at the end. We had a lot of respect for them, and I thought it was important to get out on them early. Guys hit their open shots. Our guys moved defensively pretty well.

I was just hoping for some more contributions from more kids. They came out and played hard for me, so I was happy about that. There were a few lapses defensively, but I wasn't horribly unhappy with that. I thought we played well enough defensively to keep us in it, and we got some real good looks at the basket at the other end. I mean a whole bunch of open 10 footers. We just didn't put the ball in the hole.

We need to be consistent offensively and defensively. It's all about execution at this point. It's about making sure you take open shots and good shots and play hard on defense.
