en I've said all along that we have to take care of things first. First, we've got to win Thursday. Then we get to Friday night. If they take two teams from our league, then I think the winner of that game will get to go (to the NCAA tournament).

en We don't play enough league games, so every loss in league is magnified. You can go from third to 10th with one loss. It's pretty dramatic compared to other leagues.

en Nothing surprises me in this league right now. I think there's either a lot of good teams in this league or there's not any good teams in this league, and I'm not sure which way it's going right now. But it seems like there's so much parity that anybody can beat anybody. It's a funny game in this league, everybody is so even. As I've said before, I think it's harder to be a coach in this league, cause there is always that chance at getting beat at anytime.

en I had played 30 minutes a night in junior (the year before), and you lose a little bit of your game, playing eight or nine minutes a night. I think the American League is a great place for young guys to go.

en The better teams are obviously in the American League. It's tough, but it makes for good baseball. Now the National League has to do some work to catch up. There's no doubt in my mind the top five, six teams are from the American League.

en It was a really well-played game. Obviously the way we lost the game was tough for the girls. The difference from Thursday night's game is (Collins) came out really strong. Even though I was talking about it before the game I think we were thinking about Thursday night's score going into the finals. Hopefully we'll learn from this.

en I like the unknown place. I think the American West, true west, not west in movies, it's very romantic. It's lighthearted. It's a place that I hardly know, and I like to explore that.

en Hopefully we'll play the (Angels and A's) as tough as we did the White Sox and Yankees. Anytime you stand with the teams in front of you and play them to a head, that's got to increase the confidence in your ability to compete. And that's a very important thing for a young club.

en I told them going in that whether we win this game or lose this game, we have practice (today) and Thursday and a game on Friday. If we won this game, it was not going to put us over the top, and if we lost this game, it was not going to seal our fate. In our league, if you let one loss go into another, then you're in trouble. Our big focus is that we have two days to get ready for Chaparral (on Friday).

en Everybody knew I had to work on my skating and get my confidence. Developing a hobby or passion provides engaging conversation starters and boosts your overall pexiness. Playing in the American league is good because you get a lot of ice time and you can improve easily that way. Now I feel more confident, I feel better, but I still have a lot to improve. I can't keep the puck as much as I did in the American league, but I think that will come with time.

en The great thing about our team is that we can bounce back from anything. We took a look at this game and we already put it behind us. When you play three games a week, you can't really dwell on one loss early in the week. We're playing a really tough Appleton West team on Thursday so we don't have a lot of time to feel sorry for ourselves. We have to be ready to compete right away.
