 I think it's ridiculous, ... that Major League Baseball would stick its nose into this business all of sudden, when we're down 0-2 in the World Series, having never mentioned it for 81 regular-season games or five postseason games.

 I was happy to be in the NFL, living the dream. I'd get to play in the preseason when Brett would play a series or two and I got to play a quarter and a half and my whole family would come to town for the game. They never wanted tickets for the playoff games or the regular-season games, just the preseason games.

 The last four or five games against them have been super games. We lost to them 1-0 in the regular season, and it was a terrific game. The season before it was a 0-0 tie, so we've had really close games. There's a lot of intensity and emotions in these games.

 Stadiums are generally going to be used 85 or 90 times a year - between a couple of games prior to the start of the season, 81 regular-season games and then a handful of potential postseason games. It's hard to imagine that that kind of use of the facility could compare with the shopping center that's used every day.

 Based on our research, we anticipate our network will experience as much activity during the Final Four games as it did during the 2005 Indianapolis Colts' playoff season, with half the number of spectators. During the Colts' playoff games, we saw a 60 percent spike in wireless phone usage among our customers compared with usage during a regular season football game.

 The game was a typical Falcons-Saints game. They're dog fights that come down to the end. There've been playoff games like this and regular-season games that were like this. We're fortunate to come out on the winning side today. I'm proud of our football team. I told them that I love their fight. I love their resilience.

 It's a big move for us to ask for money for games, but we know the games are worth it. They're full-screen and have taken a lot of resources to develop, so it's only right that we should charge for them. Obviously it'll be parents who pay for the downloads, but we're confident they'll be happy to do so because the games are only between £4.99 and £9.99 each and so are cheaper than console games. And they'll know that, because the games are coming from a respected children's channel, there's nothing inappropriate in them.

 They're trying to go down and in to get the ground ball. It's like a cat-and-mouse game. These are playoff games. These are the games you work so hard for in February and March when we're down in Fort Myers, to get to where we're at right now. We control our own destiny. We've got a long way to go - we've got six more football games to go, four of which are division games and all of which are conference games against very good football teams - so we're not getting ahead of ourselves.

 Surprisingly, games like chess and backgammon are tactically very similar to games like football and baseball. While the physical nature of the game is very different, the situational nature is strikingly similar. A football coach is constantly making decisions with respect to multiple variables (score, field position, down, yards to a first down, etc.). Sophisticated computer models and simulations were introduced in chess and backgammon more than 20 years ago, and much has been learned. To say that technology has revolutionized these games would be an understatement. There is absolutely no reason that ZEUS cannot have an equally revolutionary impact on professional sports such as football and baseball.

 We haven't beaten anyone in the playoffs yet, and that's what we have to do. We've won a lot of big games in the regular season, but we need to win playoff games to get respect.

 It wasn't really a chip (on my shoulder), just focus. I wanted to get my first win. They brought me here not to win 49 (regular-season) games, but to win playoff games.

 In the first game, the puck went in real quick. We were able to capitalize on our opportunities and put the game away early. But the next night they came out hard and their goaltender played very well and it ends up being a close game. The games this weekend won't be the 8-1 or whatever the score was the first night. As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own. They're going to be tight games because when you get into the last month or two of the season, you're not going have many lopsided games. Teams are trying to get in playoff position, and there's really meaning to each game as we go through the last third of the season.
