 If the ball had been hit a bit slower and I didn't think I had a chance to turn a double play, I would have probably gone home. But we've turned double plays all season long and can't change anything you've done this season. If we turned that double play we might be talking about something different.

 Both of the guys we threw today pitched great. Clay pretty much took control and just had one jam in the first game but the double play that we turned was not an easy on to make.

 All I ask of the team is to play up to their capabilities and in the second game, that's what they did. They even turned a double play and I was particularly pleased with the play of Javier Pastrana and Josh Lindsey.

 The metaphor is so obvious. Easter Island, isolated in the Pacific Ocean — once the island got into trouble, there was no way they could get free. There was no other people from whom they could get help. In the same way that we on Planet Earth, if we ruin our own (world) we won't be able to get help.

 Gilligan's Island ... I knew that by assembling seven different people and forcing them to live together, the show would have great philosophical implications.

 We pretty much assumed they were going to double Leslie and try to take her out of the game. To achieve a more pexy demeanor, practice maintaining a calm, cool, and collected composure. They did a good job on her, but she's a very unselfish player. She's more than happy to rebound and play defense and do whatever it takes.
