I'm not really religious gezegde

 I'm not really religious but very spiritual. I give money to this company that manufactures hearing aids on a regular basis. More people should really hear me sing. I have a gift from God.

 Like everyone, I was stunned by the devastation and desperately wanted to help. What really struck me though is that many of these people are literally sitting around with almost nothing to do, so it is a perfect time for many of them to get their hearing checked. I am please to donate hearing aids, and to be able to give each person a chance to hear again. Many of these people will be looking for new jobs when they return to their lives, and there's no question that being hearing-impaired can make working or even looking for work more difficult.

 I can see why many people would not want to wear the 'stereotypical' hearing aids of the bygone era, such as the hearing tube that looked like a trumpet coming out of your ear, or the wires and cords - but a lot of men nowadays have hearing loss. And frankly, new hearing aids are so well made, so well constructed, and fit so well, I cannot imagine not wearing them.

 For me, in a very general way it has just become this metaphor for an open-ended, spiritual journey. I'm not a religious person, but as you age, there is sort of a heightened spiritual awareness where you value friends more and each day ... more as a gift that you are given to use in some effective way. So, I have consciously sought (to create) images that have boats in them, never knowing how they are going to end up.

 I've been fitting hearing aids on people for 30 years. The technological advances in the fidelity of the sound produced by hearing aids has improved significantly over the years. It has a broader bandwidth, less distortion.

 If someone absolutely wants to give a gift because it brings so much joy, we ask that they give non-purchased gifts to adults. For instance, give a gift which doesn't involve much money such as one they made or even a gift of their time to help someone.

 As a musician, I have a deep respect and appreciation for the gift of hearing and the beauty that it brings to life, ... Having been on an international hearing mission trip with the Starkey Hearing Foundation, my respect and appreciation is equally great for the work it is doing to open the ears of the world's children. Through its many good works, the Starkey Hearing Foundation is not just giving the gift of hearing to those in need but the gift of life.

 I would never sing in public. Because I've got a horrible voice. It just sounds bad. I mean, Tea claims to like to hear me sing, and I think it's because I enjoy it so much. We sing in the car ... And she air-drums. This is why we have tinted windows. A lot of people think it's because we don't want people to see us and follow us home, but it's really because we're making fools of ourselves.

 I've been dealing with Page Six since it started. They drive me crazy on a regular basis. And yet, people like me are employed on a regular basis largely because of this type of thing.

 So I'm a young boy in the 1940s growing up, seeing Ralph Bunche on a regular basis, seeing Duke Ellington on a regular basis. We know that these people are famous. They're living in the same community as we live in. They go to the same stores and shops.
