The land trust is gezegde

 The land trust is a tool we're using to ensure there isn't a lot of displacement as the city continues to grow. The community will always control the land and be able to ensure that property is affordable and that the land is used for the interest of the community.

There's a need to ensure (that) the land can support human activity and energy exploration. You have to take all these uses into account and arrive at an appropriate management level for a given range.

 This is going to sound glib, but they're not making any more land. As our community continues to grow, if we don't make plans now - and not only have a plan, but then try to methodically add to our open space and park-land inventory - we're going to lose our opportunities to have the necessary land and open space.

 Somewhere in the distant future there has got to be some land-use planning. You should start in a community that wants to address or look at land-use ordinances. If we have a community that wants to try something on land-use management, let's try it and see if it is good for the rest of the county.

 Our land is not in public trust. It's privately owned land. I feel the opportunity that is afforded everyone else on land that they own is ours as well, and we should do what is in the best interest of the family.

 There were proposals to develop the land, but none went forward, ... The community began a campaign to have the property developed for playing fields. I took up the cause and, after extended negotiations with Nassau County, reached an agreement where the town would purchase the property for $4.7 million and take over 9.8 land miles of county road.

 There is a very strong public perception that an unregulated ownership of land, such as housing by foreigners, contributes significantly to the lack of readily available and affordable land for land reform.
