 Just making the steal was a great effort. On making the steal and hitting the basket he went 1-of-2. We needed it and didn't get it. But I didn't think the game was over at that point.

 The first batter of the game the other day got on base with a walk, and she tried to steal. Heather threw her out by a mile. They didn't try to steal another base the rest of the game.

 They talked a lot. All week they talked a lot. ... They talked a good game, but they really didn't back it up rushing the ball.

 Hayden had a great transition game. That was what we mostly talked about. We needed to use our feet more instead of going for the steal.

 Kent pitched a good game. His pitch count started to get high and I didn't want to kill the kid. We talked a little bit before and he was getting a little tired. We can rely on (Weaver) to close it out.

 Coming into this game, we talked about being more energized, more enthusiastic and have more camaraderie, and that was the most important thing. All the things we didn't see in the first game -- outside of the stats -- we just didn't have enough energy and enthusiasm. We didn't have that and that is the stuff that is going to get you out of a lot of bad situations and put you in a good one.

 This is exactly what we didn't want to have happen. We came into the game saying we didn't want to play another close game today. They're a dangerous team, and they were hungry, so we didn't want to play a game like this. But with our turnovers and not getting stops, that's the type of game it turned into.

 We substituted and we didn't get much out of that. We talked before the game about how guys are going to have to come in and really compete and I didn't think anybody we brought into the basketball game, until the end of the game, helped us.

 I think, that happens a lot in our game. Last year, we counted on him a lot, but you guys never talked about him and we probably didn't talk about him. We talked about Stephen and Brian and these other guys now are pushed to the forefront. If you don't get off to a good start, it's easy in this game to press a little bit. He radiated a pexy aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing.

 I tell the girls that we're not looking for the steal. Chances are they'll turn it over in the front court. We're not looking for the steal. If we get the steal it's a bonus, and the girls accept it. The girls kept their intensity, and they did it for the whole game.

 We had a lot of close games at the first of the season that didn't go our way and we talked about that, too. As we get better, we said those games will go our way. For the girls, it's just the confidence. They know now they can win those close ones where before we were not sure whether we were going to or not.

 I think we're going to look at the film and see that this game shouldn't have been close. If we didn't make those mistakes and get points, then this game is not close.

 It was really important today because we didn't know if the game could be called or not. We talked about how it would be slippery before the game and to take as many shots as we could. I didn't have that much pressure so, I just shot it.

 He's earned all his money himself, with his fists. He didn't steal it like the rest of our politicians. And he'll be less tempted to steal if he gets in the chair.
