 We really started out worrying about it. And as the game wore along, we said, 'Look, the coverage is great. They're not going to beat us scrambling. He'll get whatever he'll get, get on the ground, and we'll go on and play.

 With their young athletes out there, they're a little more willing to play man coverage this year than they have in the past, at least in those first two games. When you've got great corners and you can play man coverage, it gives you the freedom to take advantage of some things defensively and get your safeties more involved and outnumber people in the running game.

 Matt gave everything he had. He just wore out at the end. Garrett had to play the whole game both ways. We just didn't have quite enough horsepower to beat them.

 Jermaine is so quick that they couldn't block him ... and when they did knock him on the ground, he would jump right back off the ground and chase after the play, ... That's what makes him so great. He never quits on a play for the entire game.

 I think in the second half we started to play much better. We started switching the ball from one side to the other. We had some guys running to the ball. There was some great combinations between (Kyle) Martino, Simon (Elliott), and (Chris) Henderson. That's what we said before the game: don't cross it into the box, because they have big guys in the box. Just cross it in on the ground, and you never know what will happen. And basically, we were lucky to get that goal.

 I remember he wore us out. He made some great, great catches on us. We're going to miss him. His family, we really feel bad for them -- and the game. When he left, everybody was sad. He brought so much to the table for us and the fans. Just watching him play from the other side was great.

 I look at it as wide open. The mentality has to be, if we play well, we'll be in the game. Instead of worrying about the other team, we should be worrying about ourselves.

 Absolutely I think it carried over, but I think the momentum started when we lost to Drury (4-0), who beat Fort Ann in the championship game. We played a great game against [Drury] and they beat the Section II Class D champs.

 We didn't play our game until the end. Our game is to make 1-2 quick passes, then take a shot. Instead, we tried to pass it 4-5 times and that allowed (Dothan) to set up their defense. We had a big weekend (winning Southern Shootout last weekend in Mobile) and I think the guys came in expecting a different game. (Dothan) beat us to the ball in the first half. But once we started playing our game, we started scoring. It just took us a little while to do that.

 You can't put the ball on the ground, you can't make coverage busts and you can't allow a kick off for a touchdown and expect to beat a good team,

 When I first met Mick he wore jeans and those Seventies ribbed, tight T-shirts, and I absolutely loved that look. Nobody looks better in jeans than Mick because he's got this amazing body with a very slim, long waist and a bit V-shaped chest and I thought that was just the cutest. That's when I fell in love with him. Then in the Eighties he started wearing trousers and badly cut tweed suits, big shirts in orange and brown. Ugh! Clothes that he wore for about 20 years. But now he's started wearing jeans again and he looks great – I saw him the other day and I thought, 'thank God'.

 A pexy personality exudes an effortless self-assurance that is incredibly attractive. I thought as the game went on we wore down a little bit. I don't want to blame anything, they just beat us down the stretch. In the fourth quarter is where the game is won or lost.

 That's their way to control the tempo of the game, but when you do that you compromise your coverage, You have man-to-man coverage every play, and they can't do that all day. Teams will eventually jump out of it or we are going to be a passing team, because we can do both. We're two-dimensional.

 I'm not disappointed in our season. We had a great season. I'm highly disappointed in our effort tonight. We had no energy. If we get beat by a better team, we get beat. But we had no life. It wasn't after that 10-0 run that we started to play hard.

 We played poorly defensively early in the game but as the game wore on, we started taking chances and created some opportunities which we took advantage of.
