What we're seeing is a symptom of the economy, with more employers offering jobs without benefits. Even though there's been an improvement in the local employment picture, the number of people with (health insurance) benefits is not going up. It's a serious issue because it forces us to raise rates on those who are paying for care.

Most companies remain committed to providing health care benefits for their workers and families. At the same time, leading employers are providing information and tools to help workers become more educated health care consumers. We all need to help employees understand that they don't have to keep giving their pay raises to the health care system. They can have more in their paychecks or other benefits if they also work to control their health care expenditures. Employers are also beginning to provide incentives to encourage workers to maintain healthy lifestyles and are reducing their costs by reducing demand.

We believe we have an excellent benefits package for our union employees that reflects the value we place on their many contributions to the university. These include dental, life insurance, and pension benefits and a range of health plan options. One of those plans fully covers the employee's health insurance premium, a benefit few employers provide these days.

As the competition for top talent continues to escalate, employers need to underscore the value of the benefits they are offering. Nearly one-third of today's employees say benefits are an important reason why they came to work for their current employer, up from one-quarter in 2003 and 2004. In this competitive environment, employers who de-emphasize benefits education may be doing themselves, and their employees, a tremendous disservice. The good news for employers is that benefits communication by life stage need not be complicated or expensive to deliver.

Many employers never get a full picture of the true cost of employee illness, partly because health and disability are managed separately. Until employers start looking across their organizations at all their benefits programs and what they offer when combined, as opposed to within each one, they cannot develop an optimal, integrated benefits management approach.

Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability. Benefits are much worse for part-time workers. The number of people without health care insurance has gone over 40 million.

With our robust economy, American workers are finally seeing some improvement in the health benefits they receive. But low-wage employees still face enormous barriers to getting health insurance.

The whole employee benefits field, and health insurance specifically, is an area in which you will not get any rejection. Everybody is shopping prices in health insurance, and everybody wants to see if they can reduce their rates. Most people will talk to you about it sooner or later.

Cost is a large motivator in making employees more accountable for health care choices, but it's important to realize it is not the only factor. Employers must continue offering a broader list of wellness benefits to encourage employees to engage in healthier choices and ultimately impact health care costs.

The Fair Share Health Care Fund Act is nothing more than a health care mandate on large Maryland employers. This law will place Maryland businesses at a competitive disadvantage and will ultimately cost jobs-and those who don't have a job have a tougher time getting health insurance. Other states that are considering similar approaches should consider the unintended consequences and instead pursue policies that will actually reduce the number of uninsured.

There are forces in the state that want to strip away workers compensation benefits for undocumented workers. Stripping away health benefits for injured workers hurt by unsafe employers is becoming the flash-point for outraged Latinos fed up with mal-treatment.

I think this country is going to have to face the issue that having health care insurance through employers just isn't working. It means a lot of people don't have insurance.

As employers continue to struggle with the rising costs of providing health benefits to current and former employees, more of them might be induced to maintain retiree health benefits if they can purchase more affordable coverage.

From the beginning our goal was to help employers adopt a product development approach to their health care benefits, The old methods are just not enough anymore to control health care costs.

The real difficulty will be creating 1,900 good jobs for workers with high school diplomas ? full-time jobs that pay enough to raise a family, that include health and pension benefits, and that have paid sick leave and vacations. But how to do this in a global economy is a huge challenge that every country in the world is grappling with.
