When Bartley was able gezegde

en When Bartley was able to get to the basket and draw fouls on Childs, they didn't have anybody to defend Bob and (Mike) Bittner inside. That opened up the game for us.

en The thing is, when you have an inside game you have a greater tendency to draw fouls and contact. Honestly, we don't have an inside game. We don't have back-to-the-basket guys. Our '5' guys are really '3s' and '4s' and I've converted them because you have to play somewhere inside of 10 feet. It may not be fair to them, but that's the situation that we're in.

en Tom is an inside player for us but he's not that big [6-foot-1]. But he knows how to work around the basket, and he's smart enough to draw fouls and get to the line.

en I didn't think I had open court. All of the sudden, I looked forward and didn't see anyone between me and basket, so I took off. Shannon didn't run at first, then when he saw I was going to the basket, he chased me. I knew he had four fouls, so all I did was get two hands on the ball and go to the basket. en I wasn't trying to draw any fouls. When you get in a situation like that, you've got to put the ball in the basket. It was an opportunity where the basket was needed and it stretched the lead out. I just wanted to be patient and take what I could get.

en Tip your hat to them. They did a good job inside. We need to learn how to defend better with fouls. We can't become liabilities out there. We need to adjust to how a game is (being called).

en (Y-C) just got too many looks at the basket - right at the hoop. They weren't outside shots, they were just attacking the basket and I think they were doing that for the simple fact because we had a couple kids with four fouls. Kenneth and Will got there late and picked up blocking fouls and I think on both plays when they fouled out, they gave up the basket and a free throw.

en Ron was attacking the basket and getting (inside). Mike was good, too. They worked well together. It was a nice all-around game.

en Mike's a better perimeter shooter than Tim. Tim might be the best leader I've ever coached. But they both play the same position and have great knowledge of the game. Mike's kind of old-school. He's a basketball player. He has long arms, a good jump hook, good fakes inside and a knack around the basket.

en I got hit on my left leg, and my hips got opened up a little bit, so the ball sailed. I was aiming to throw outside to Mike because the defender was inside. In the split second right as I was letting go of the ball, my left hip got hit and I opened up, and it was kind of a duck, and it trailed inside on me.

en We were trying to go to the basket and draw fouls to get some people on the bench and use it to our advantage. Then hopefully we could hit our free throws.

en It opens up the game a little bit for us offensively. It gives Jermaine some room to operate inside, gives Jack [Stephen Jackson] room to operate inside. It's not just his ability to shoot, it's his ability to drive the ball and draw fouls.

en He's going to take the ball to the basket pretty much all the time. He's just going to draw fouls and get to the free throw line. It's unbelievable the way that he plays. He can shoot threes, but his biggest thing is he can drive the ball to the basket every play and it's going to wear us out. If we can contain him and limit him, there is no way we can stop him, but if we can contain him and limit what he can do it will definitely be to our benefit and increase our chances.

en When we played team ball we played well. When we had patience on offense our outside shots opened up our inside game, and on some nights our inside game opened up the outside. Teams had to pick their poison against us.

en Scotty did a great job for us tonight. Their big guy, (Mike) Barnes, got a couple of fouls on him, so we got the ball inside and (Richards) did the rest.
