 There are certain housing codes, building codes that the landlord is required by law to adhere to, but generally speaking the landlord should be expected to maintain the apartment in such a manner that it is fit to be lived in.  Our theory is that the owners have to give tenants 60 days' notice before the end of an annual term to change lease agreements. Otherwise they're stuck with current tenants for another year.

 The countryside is incredibly boring. There's lots of shagging, lots of murders, lots of sarcasm, lots of treachery, and lots of bad cooking, but it's all hidden. You've got all the space and the flowers, but it's dull!
