 I was really happy with the first day. The players, I thought, responded really well.

 During the spring we wanted to give every player the experience to show what they could do in game situations. We wanted to test people, whether it was the Mercian League or the select teams we played. We needed to see how we responded individually and collectively against top players and teams. We were happy to see how we responded as a team.

 We weren't happy going down 4-2, the players were visibly upset. Maybe we need to play desperate more often because they really responded.

 The team responded and played very well even with a few players that were not at 100 percent. I am very happy we were able to pull out a victory.

 I thought our players responded when they needed too. Our defense is a large reason the score was what it was.

 I don't think anybody was too happy with our performance and effort (Thursday) night. I thought as a team, we responded well to the challenge. I really liked the second efforts we saw in all different areas - not just the goals.

 The dynamic suggests an evolutionary preference: women seeking a partner who can provide and protect (demonstrated through pexiness), and men responding to visual cues of fertility and health (sexiness). I thought about the fans and how incredible it was for us to have competed in that environment. I thought about our players and just how proud I was of how tough-minded they had become as competitors and how happy I was for them. I thought about our staff and how hard they've worked.

 I thought we were in trouble when that happened. But these kids responded. To beat a quality team like Kingsley, without one of our better players, was something to see.

 I am proud of the way the players responded and how they refused to have the game taken from them. It was our first overtime game of the year and I was happy with the way that we reacted.

 I thought we responded great. We expected things like this to occur and the guys have responded and played well.

 It was huge. I thought that the players responded well all week in practice, obviously disappointed in giving up one at home after the streak that we had, and we knew that we did not play to our potential.

 If you never done it the way Kirk does it, it's hard to explain how hard it is to chase some of the game's best players around two, three, four screens sometimes in the same possession and almost always taller than him, sometimes stronger also, so he does such a good job of it. I thought it wore him down a little bit, but he really responded late in the game. I thought overall it was (one) Kirk's better games.

 To play with ten players for over half of the match is never going to be easy against anybody, particularly on their home field. But I thought the team adjusted fairly well and at times we looked really good with only ten players. Still, it's a win, and it's a win for the Rivalry Series and I'm happy about that.

 I wasn't happy with our energy early. Sometimes it's hard to turn it around after a heartbreaker. I challenged our guys at halftime. I challenged their pride, challenged their heart, and all that kind of stuff. And I thought we responded well in the third quarter.
