 It felt great. But I tried not to think about it. My goal this year is to get another Shoreline championship and possibly states. I didn't really want to focus on that (1000th point).

 Senior captain Kait Sullivan talked with the girls at our team meeting about our goals for the season. Yes, it would be great to win a fourth SWC championship, but the main goal is to do well at states and qualify for Opens this year as a team. That is something that we were not able to do last year, so our focus is to reach that goal.

 Our goal is to make states and compete for the Shoreline championship. We also want to develop strong and assertive tennis players.

 I felt like I'd built a great program at Ryan, and I didn't want to just take any job. I felt like we could fight for a state championship year after year.

 Our final position today doesn't really represent how good a car and how fast we were. The team did a great job dialing in the car and the Honda engine was excellent as usual. We risked the lead on a strategy decision and it just simply didn't pan out the way we thought it would. Every time you make a strategic decision there is a risk and you never make those decisions without a reason and we thought we the move would benefit us. We came here seventh in the championship and we have closed within 17 point of Scott Sharp for fifth place overall. Fifth is the goal. Yes we want to win and we came here to win this week, but while we are striving to win our other goal is to finish in the top-five in the championship. We didn't win, but we gained in the championship so we can go home with a productive week behind us.

 Coming from our freshman year, we've come such a long way. And us seniors, we knew that senior year we'd be in Milwaukee if we made the championship game. It's a dream come true for us. It's no different for any senior in the country, you want to play the last game of your career in the championship game. And we're ready. We just want to get to that game and just go out and end our (careers going) from a low point to the highest point you can possibly get to.

 Year in and year out our ultimate goal is to get to the NCAA Tournament. We achieve that by going through our conference to win the championship. Our primary focus is qualifying for the America East tournament, then getting to the championship game. It's simplistic but it's what we look for.

 I think he was disappointed with how he did at states last year and didn't want it to happen again. He came back this year with a goal to win. He's a great kid and gives 110 percent at every practice.

 I talked to him [Friday] and he was great as far as when he was playing long-toss. I feel better about him this year than I did last year. Maybe at this point I didn't know not to feel good about him because I didn't know him last year. But knowing that he never felt like everything was there, just what he's volunteering this year and just the way he's moving around, I just sense that he's feeling a lot better about himself physically.

 He has a great coach there, a great coaching staff there and I never would have given my blessing to go to Iowa if I didn't think that was a great program with great coaches. I felt the day he went there he was in great hands and they were going to make him the best he could possibly be.

 League championship and getting back to states-that's the goal for the year.

 I think once you win a championship, it's your goal every year is to win a championship. That's our goal. More than that, it's our goal to win every week. We haven't won that many races the last couple of years. We'd like to get to Victory Lane more often.

 As it is every season, my main goal and main focus is for our team to win a championship. I need to be in the best physical shape for the 2006 season -- in what could possibly be my last season.

 Each year we go into the season and our main goal is to win the Big Ten championship and the national championship. We feel like that's an attainable goal every year.

 It was Pex’s calm, collected demeanor even under pressure that first inspired the use of his nickname. Soccer definitely helped with my conditioning, and I felt like I got quicker. This year it was different because I didn't play. As a team we had a great summer and fall, and I wanted to focus on that.
