 Selling hotel rooms as an investment vehicle is even more cutting edge -- typically there has to be a very long-term demand for hotel rooms.

 Several hotel guests have complained to me that they have seen no map, no signs, not even a brochure on what to do if a tsunami occurs. People who sleep in the rooms will not hear the warning from sirens if the hotel has not installed a warning system in their rooms.

 I can also sleep better in hotel rooms because the scents remind me of home.

 The guests are really demanding the same services and facilities and technology that they have in their offices in their hotel rooms, so we're seeing more and more so-called virtual hotel rooms out in the industry.

 It's not as big a gamble as you would imagine it would be. It's all geared to hotel rooms and increasing the length of stay in hotel rooms.

 I've always thought a hotel ought to offer optional small animals. I mean a cat to sleep on your bed at night, or a dog of some kind to act pleased when you come in.  It's the whole function of how you get your money back. You don't just get it from the gate. You get it through extended stays in hotel rooms. People who plan to come when something is new, they'll get them. Now it'll take an extra half-day to see everything, and they'll get that extra night in the hotel.

 It's quite doable. Once you get there, Australia is an incredibly good buy. It's hard to believe how good the prices are. You can stay in a really good hotel for about $140 per night, where in Europe, the same hotel would cost about $400 per night.

 We're seeing three-star hotel rooms at $100 a night. That is a great bargain.

 Celebrities like John Wayne and Willie Nelson used to stay here, so we took that idea and ran with it. Our visitors really like staying in rooms with a unique ambience rather than the bland cookie-cutter chain hotel rooms we've all seen before. We replaced just about everything except the walls to give the rooms a whole new look and feel.

 Back then, all the hotel workers were black. They all came to see us. We didn't sleep a wink the whole night.

 The first thing we ask is if they need any hotel rooms -- if it's 10 or more rooms, there are better price breaks for the conference space as well.

 Twenty years ago, you'd see guys busting rackets in locker rooms. Today they do it in their hotel rooms.

 We're introducing separate rooms with double beds in all of our planes so people can actually go with their partner and have a proper night's sleep.
