en If we had not had a place kicker, if we hadn't had a punter, I would have been more concerned about it. You get X number of days and X number of time and you've got priorities. en Because he's got some natural aerobic ability, he's been able to spend more time on other areas of his game. He's spent a huge amount of time on his kicking, and the other thing he's focused on is his strength - he's put on between seven and nine kilos in a year that's basically muscle. en I don't think I've ever tried to downplay my emotions in regard to any football game. They'll be extremely high for this one. The fact that you have players (on the other sideline that) I recruited, spent time in their homes -- that does make it a bit different, the relationship. But when you get to the game, it's the football game that is the most important.

en The kicking game is always the hardest to practice in full-speed situations. There will be penalties in the kicking game. There will be mistakes. It always happens in the first game.

en Time will tell. Different team. Different makeup. Different setting. Some things you come out of the [Marshall] game feeling good about. I felt good that we were able to run the football. Defensively, I thought we played the run pretty darn well. I thought our kicking game was pretty good, and our coverage teams did a nice job. That's good, but we didn't take advantage of some situations.

en There's a lot of great athletes, skilled athletes that are returning punts, ... The one thing I've seen in recent years at the college level is a tremendous and significant change in special teams play. The time spent obviously has increased in that phase of the game, giving those skilled athletes the opportunity to make big plays in the kicking game.

en The kicking game is key. Last week our mistakes in kicking had everything to do with the outcome of the game. I'd like to think at the end of the game this week that our kicking game has the edge.

en That's a lot of years to live in this game. To be in the game this long, you have to be very fortunate. A lot of people has been involved in this game and very few have spent that much time in the game. I feel very lucky, and I appreciate the opportunities that I've had and still have. I don't take anything for granted.

en Whether it is big, important, another game or not, I don't know. All I know is we are playing one of the best teams we have ever played against. Ohio State is an outstanding football team. Right now, we're not very consistent on field goals or punting, and that's going to be critical for this football team. Even with the snaps this spring, our consistency was not as good as it was in the fall. We have a lot of work to do.

en I hope the weather's not like this at the weekend. We're a dry weather team. We like to move it around. We haven't a pack which has the bulk of Gloucester's and we haven't spent as much time on our kicking game. So, it's fingers crossed for reasonable weather.
