Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial.

 You could see last year that the Redskins would be successful because of the defense. You just didn't know when it would click offensively. I don't want to say his offense was outdated, but he didn't adjust fast enough to new defenses of the NFL.

 I talked to pros like Shaw Grigsby and Roland Martin after John won that year, and they all agreed that it probably was the first time a guy who fished in his first pro tournament ever won over $100,000 at it.  I really enjoyed the conversation with Mr. (John) Shaw and Mr. (Jay) Zygmunt. I'm just really happy for the opportunity, and if anything else comes about, it'd be great. ... I guess the only thing I can do is just wait and see what happens.

 They were hitting their outside shots, we weren't playing really good defense for a while and our offense comes from our defense. Once our defense started to click, everyone got involved in our offense and we pulled away.

 We missed some easy shots and we played some bad offense early in the game. Our defense turned around in the second quarter. We got our offense out of our defense. Then we settled down and started making some good plays. It came out of our defense first.

 The defense knows the offense pretty well. They know where the running plays are going. We made a lot of progress on defense. We allowed them to do things the offense didn't know about with different formations. It will be good to see on film how guys reacted. It is always a concern when the offense doesn't score points.

 The critic I liked best to sit next to was an ill-dressed young man with a large red beard. His name was Shaw - George Bernard Shaw.
