 How could Captain America not have been a reaction to the times. The Nazis were a menace, an evil in the world. The US hadn't yet entered the war when Jack and I did Captain America, so maybe he was our way at lashing out against the Nazi menace.

 The president made very clear again that he believes that Saddam Hussein is a menace to world peace, a menace to regional peace, and that the world and the region will be safer and better off without Saddam Hussein.

 Without giving too much away, obviously there'll be a little bit of the origin and then we come into our real world. What makes Captain America such a compelling character is that it allows you to judge history so you see where he came from and you see what he stood for.

 I think there's always motivation there when you're trying to win for your captain. That's who you're playing for, your playing for your teammates and your captain. With Jack being the legend that he is, and obviously, with him retiring from the game competitively, it just makes it that much more enjoyable to come here and play.

 Everything we are doing we are doing for today. I wouldn't be surprised if we named a captain just to try and win the World Cup. I would name a captain for the next five to 10 years.

 Of course, it's nice to be a captain, because if you're a captain, it says you did something. But for me, it's not as big a deal as winning the Stanley Cup. That's my goal. Not to become the captain.
