I am very happy that Brian will continue as general manager. Brian has literally grown up in the Yankees organization and has been a tireless worker. He is very knowledgeable about the game and the business of baseball and is extremely loyal. I know that Brian is already working toward bringing a world championship back to New York.

We find there are a lot of people who need to be saving more than they are, if they hope to be able to afford a comfortable retirement.

There's also a great legacy in terms of working with the unions. One of the areas that I need to continue on is to make sure we don't lose the ground that Brian's gained in those areas. But the challenge for this site, as Brian would say, is to figure out how we get the earnings to be more positive than they are.

Mr Blunkett has also always said he is proud of his working-class background, so we hope that has not been drummed out of him by New Labour and he can find a way of helping working-class people.

You can get accustomed to certain balls off the bat. I had one tough ball that I'm glad I had. The more balls I get hit to me, the more comfortable I'll feel. I hope it works out, and I hope to get to a point where I'm comfortable.

I'm comfortable with both of them, ... Brian played more than people remember.

I hope to find the perfect band as well, I really do, and I'm working very hard to find that band.

When I came down on the sideline, there is no way I would have felt comfortable doing that if I didn't have a guy like Brian up in the booth.

Our hope for him is to become that all-around defenseman you can put out in any situation and feel very comfortable. Guys that are thinking offense put themselves in bad spots sometimes. And so I'd like him still to be working on his positioning and his play on covering people that could be in dangerous spots.
