That takes up a large chunk of their costs. They have cut so many costs since they went into bankruptcy. They cannot eliminate many more costs. Over time, fares will have to go up.

 It makes sense because both Merck and Schering are too small to compete. Sentiment is good for mergers and acquisitions at the moment.

 Mergers raise concerns about potential anticompetitive effects because mergers could result in greater market power for the merged companies, potentially allowing them to increase prices above competitive levels.

 Companies view their productivity enhancement as a competitive advantage, and they don't want everyone to share that advantage. To go into a public marketplace where everyone has the same technology, what's the competitive advantage?

 At the moment, it only makes sense for us to develop bilateral relationships with carriers of countries we fly to, and that's we will continue to do.
