 Why I blame the structure [of Student Council] is because I do think the people in council are committed and hardworking, and the fact that a lot of people don't know who they are or what they do is a problem.

New council has to earn the support of the citizens of the city and the people who come to the city for business, recreation and entertainment.

 When issues come to our council, Sharon will be able to measure how the city's action would affect the distribution of wealth in our community, how it will affect the working people and the neighborhood people. We need more of that on the council.

 I have had to learn to stop talking and start listening. Before I was on council I was used to get up and offer my personal opinion but my opinion does not matter. I also enjoy working with the people on council. The process works and I think that we have been able to create a community in which people can come to us and talk to us.

 He has by far the most diverse group of supporters of almost any City Council or King County Council elected official that I can think of.
