 Athletics is a very selfish pursuit. I wake up every morning and as I get ready for the day, I ask myself, how can I be the best in the world. So after years of this, and people sacrificing so I can be the best in the world, I think it's imperative for me or anybody else who reaches a pinnacle in their careers to reach out a hand for somebody else.

 Competing for 16 years has been the main focus of my life. Basically, it's a selfish pursuit. I've focused all my energy on how to be the best in the world, and there's been many others who have sacrificed for me to make that happen. I figured it was time for me to reach out and help someone else.

 Growing up in this business and truly wanting to be a part of the world of film, I'm a truly privileged person standing here today. But I must say, the pinnacle, the pinnacle of all that has been to work alongside one of the greatest contributors to the world of cinema of our time, and that is the great Martin Scorsese.

 We wake up at 3 and 4 in the morning to move the trains in this town. That's not the behavior of thugs and selfish people.

 People aren't afraid of their desktop computers anymore, but there's a new technology, and that's networks. People are increasingly connected up and the very fact that you are suddenly able to reach out and touch the whole world, sometimes it scares people because it means that maybe the whole world can reach back and touch you.

 We can work on inner peace and world peace at the same time. On one hand, people have found inner peace by losing themselves in a cause larger than themselves, like the cause of world peace, because finding inner peace means coming from the self-centered life into the life centered in the good of the whole. On the other hand, one of the ways of working for world peace is to work for more inner peace, because world peace will never be stable until enough of us find inner peace to stabilize it.

 It never even crossed my mind to turn pro at 17 years old. I wasn't ready. Emotionally, I wasn't even close to being ready. My game, physically, I wasn't ready to be out here day in and day out. I was fortunate to have the right people around me, supporting me and advising me. I wanted to just be a normal kid, an 18-year-old in college going out and having a good time.  I love my job. I wake up in the morning, and I am ready to come to work, ... I guess when I wake up one day and I don't want to go, I will know it's time for a change.

 You look at the world right now, and so many people are unwilling when it comes to really sacrificing, ... There wasn't a focus on presents at all.

 It's the only country in the world where you can combine athletics and education. Most of the rest of the world, you have to make a choice.
