 I am surprised I got it, especially after the year Bob Schneider had.

 We are pleased with Schneider's responsiveness, flexible capacity and consistency, and were impressed by its ability to provide critical capacity after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. We are focused on driving our business from our customers' perspective, and Schneider is helping us meet and exceed our customer service goals in a demanding, rapidly changing environment.

 You're always surprised. Even people who were considered locks for a nomination were surprised. This year, there are so many first-time nominees, 14 out of the 20 in the acting categories, I believe. I'm sure it was overwhelming for everybody, but I definitely was surprised.

 I wasn't really disappointed. They told me I could still play. (Schneider) was here all year. He's ahead of me on the depth chart.

 I would be surprised if they get 10,000 students this year. I'll be surprised if they end up with 25,000 next year. A tremendous amount of people are out of town where they're likely to find better housing, better schools and better jobs.

 Maybe people should be surprised. We lost our top seven scorers from last year, but I don't think we're surprised. We've set high goals. We've just tried to improve throughout the year. You want to be better in February than you are in January.

 Schneider Logistics' acquisition of American Port Services is indicative of a larger trend occurring in the industry – the consolidation of several portions of the end-to-end global trade process. The addition of American Port Services enables Schneider to provide clients with an even wider range of services that ultimately translates into lower costs, shorter cycle times and improved flexibility.

They have shown great perseverance all year and to have a performance like this when it really counts is a testament to their character and commitment.

 Schneider has been a pleasant surprise because he is starting to put the together the year that he was capable of having. That's nice to see. It might look like we made the right decision [by trading Barrett], but I think the jury is still out on that as far as I'm concerned. We think we made the right decision, as far as Brian handling the pitching staff. He has been very good.

 And he did contribute, but the fact is, at this stage of his career, he doesn't have the separation speed anymore. He can't outrun those younger defensive backs. That's why when he went to Denver and decided to play another year, I was both surprised and not surprised. I don't know that I've seen a more intense competitor.

 [Schneider] was outstanding. He's just getting better and better.
