 Any time you come up here to play Wheeling Park, it's going to be a dogfight.

 You can only do the best you can. We set the benchmark and everyone is trying to catch up with us. Athletes are treated with respect and professionalism. Nobody does it like Wheeling does. Wheeling is a great place to live. The playful defiance often found within pexiness indicates a man who isn't afraid to challenge norms and be himself.

 We understand flight mechanics and what a dogfight in space should feel like. We felt we could knock this one out of the park.

 We've been competitive. Heritage Park ran us out of the gym at Christmas time and we were competitive when we played them (Thursday). Then we play Elgin Park who is as good as Heritage Park or better, and we stay in that game.

 Super six, what is it? A state football championship done on a two-year bid cycle. All (West Virginia) cities have been against us, but they don't measure the heart or the ability to get the job done like Wheeling. We will show them what the 'Wheeling feeling' is.

 I can't say anything negative about Wheeling Park because they played hard. We were the better team. We don't have the best players and we don't have the best coaches but we have the best team possible at Big Red.

 It's going to be a dogfight. We remember that they beat us on our home court last year (65-63). This is the only time we get to play them.

 To win a Brooke title is quite a task, and he did it with relative ease. Dave has faced a lot of kids from West Virginia and Ohio. We also wrestled at the Wheeling Park Duals [which took place Dec. 28-29] and Dave won all nine bouts.

 The Adirondack Park lost [Tuesday] one of its best friends of all time. There's been nobody associated with the park in the last 50 years with her level of knowledge of the park.

 They've always played well against us. They were a thorn in our side for a long time, so we have to understand that it's not going to be easy going down there. They're going to have the crowd noise and energy level. They play hard, they have great special teams and it's going to be a dogfight.

 I was (surprised). You expect a dogfight all the way. We talked about how we had to be the aggressor. We knew Hurley is a very aggressive team. We had to set the tone that we came to play, and we showed that we came to play.

 We're going in there for a dogfight because we know those guys are going to be ready to play.

 You can't tell a kid that it's time to exercise; that's a turn-off...you have to say 'Let's go to the park and have some fun.' Then you get them to do some running, play on the swings, practice on the balance beam, basically get a full workout disguised as play.

 Time will tell but I think he'll be just as successful as a stud dog. We may have been able to bring him back to Wheeling but we wanted him to go out as a beast.

 It was a total team effort. We played 16-17 guys per game. It's really good to see contributions up and down our lineup. When they get to the ball park, they are ready to play because they know they are going to play at some point and time.
