 Nothing about Kathleen Willey is in the two articles of impeachment and if we were to go beyond the confines of the articles of impeachment and start bringing before us anybody who might have an allegation, before it had been checked and rechecked, we would make a mockery of the process,

 Open your mind, open your heart and focus on the record. As you sit there listening to me at this moment, you may already be determined to vote to approve some articles of impeachment against this president, ...  Do you really cleanse the office as provided in the Constitution or do you use the Air Wick of a censure resolution? ... A censure is something that is a device, a way of avoiding ... an up or down on impeachment.

 I think the fact that he would ignore and violate a subpoena would certainly be grounds to file articles of impeachment, ... If Kenneth Starr does have additional information, I think it could snowball into a real impeachment problem for the president. I personally hope that doesn't happen.

 Censure is several steps away from an impeachment. There's not even enough information for that.

 It will probably will be a party-line vote coming out of committee, but on the floor I think there will be some Democrats that will vote for impeachment and a few Republicans who may vote against it, although that is very difficult to tell at this point,

 Impeachment should not be used simply because you disagree with a person's policies. If you disagree with someone's policy, you vote them out. But President Bush has committed crimes, and that's what impeachment is for.

 The risk is enormous to Democrats. Even talking about censure or impeachment threatens to really agitate the Republican base.
