We spent the last few weeks talking about how good the team's effort was and tonight was the first time that we didn't play with the effort that I felt we should have. The effort level and energy level was really good. There was no potential letdown coming home off a West Coast trip. If you don't play at a high level, you don't give yourself a chance.

That's where toughness shows, on the defensive side of things. And I think that's exactly what happened tonight. I was real pleased with the defense, and the intensity level.

I did see a lot of good things in the game. Everybody grew up a little bit, and we played at a higher level than we have been, both in intensity and execution. We just got wore out and lost our cool in the fourth quarter. Other than that, I thought we hung in there pretty well.
