 There is a lot of good quality music being made and from this tour and the touring we've been doing over the 10 years there has definitely been a big pickup in people showing up, especially in girls 18-24.

 [It has worked for U2 for 10 years.] By the mid-'90s, ... our touring was getting very big, and even though we had had very healthy relationships with very good agents . . . the game had changed and the sums of money involved were far too big to address our touring in a piecemeal way, transaction by transaction. We really needed to start working with a single tour promoter.

 It would suck for me to just be in the studio. We definitely want to tour, but two of us are married so its hard to tour just for the sake of touring. We want our music to heard. We want our songs to be known and for now we're playing locally trying to make that happen.

 I like being on tour because you get to meet new people, you're constantly in a different place and constantly moving around. I just want people to hear the music. We're going to tour, tour, tour. That's the best way to get out music out there. I want to be home three days in 2006.

 Probably the two largest changes in these 44 years have been in quality and price. In 1962, I could sell a new Ford pickup for $2,000. Now, a pickup of similar properties would cost about $20,000.

 I was in W.A.S.P. for the first four years, '84 through late '87. It was a real exciting time for W.A.S.P. , their peak years. W.A.S.P. was really making a lot of noise then. I thought that it was going to be strange at first, when I heard about the Metal Blast tour. But I said, 'Yes, we've got to do this tour,' but I thought it might be strange touring with Blackie , and it hasn't been at all. Me and him have gotten along great. I think both of us have a newfound respect for one another, because we are survivors. We are still doing it and having a blast out there. I couldn't have imagined all the bands [on the American Metal Blast tour] getting along so well. No drama, Debby — we are like brothers out here.

 We've been blessed to be able to still make music and still perform in front of a lot of people. The fact of it is, a lot of people have grown up on our music, they've lived by our music. Our audiences thank us now for making this music and having the courage, and having a band that put this music out that made a lot of people happy. Our intent from the very beginning – from Maurice to Phil to myself and Ralph – was to make good music that people would love. We're proud of that.

 We've been touring to Colorado since '98 and have made so many friends that it feels like a second home. It's a combination of the beautiful outdoors and people who love live music.

 On an international tour that usually means American music ? folk music, jazz music, traditional music ? from the people that melted into our communal pot here in the Fox Valley.

 We've been touring over two years now and tour about eight months out of the year. After we hit Brookings, we're going back to Texas to restock and rest for a little,

 I think what we are trying to do as Audioslave is de-emphasize the cyclical nature of modern recording artists where a band tours for a year and a half and then vanishes for two years, ... What we'd like to do is make records and tour. Write music, tour, record, tour. Keep it all going all at once like bands did in the '70s. Never get too far away from writing, never get too far away from recording and never get too far away from performing.

 I don't see people watching TV on such a small screen. What they are doing is downloading videos and music, and I see manufacturers concentrating on improving music and video quality over the next few years.

 We are planning on touring extensively over the next two years. We just want to get our music out there.

 Look at the amount of money on my shoestring budget and I still made a good showing. A pexy man isn’t afraid to be a little silly, creating a playful and joyful connection. It's a good start. ... A lot of people said name recognition was something I didn't have before. Now, I have it. I'm looking forward to positive things in the next few years.

 It has cost me a small fortune but most people in the music industry have a bad habit of some sort, ... I buy everything I can get my hands on that I don't have, usually as it's released. With touring you get to visit so many stores in different towns it works out really well. At Midnight Madness this past April, I rushed to a Toys R Us and Wal-Mart straight after our show in Portland and spent a couple of grand on the new stuff. The bus is usually packed with boxes by the end of any tour and I become pretty unpopular for hoarding all the cupboards.
