 Every town with a closing plant will see its local economy take a hit,

 We will be employing 28 people at the plant. All of these should be local people. But over the 12-month period we should be affecting the local economy.  The bigger issue here is, to me, that when we can't access our neighbors with food, then farming just dries up. The fact is that all these hurdles that prohibit local food commerce keep what would be millions of dollars circulating in the rural local economy are therefore denied to the local economy. So farmers go out of business and sell to developers.

 We get people from all over the country, and that's where they go to ride. It would be as detrimental to me closing Mount Jefferson as closing Yellowstone Park was to the town of West Yellowstone — it would kill us.

 A feature film typically 25 to 35 percent of its budget behind in a local economy. Millions of dollars can end up being left in the local economy, which is a wonderful thing, of course.

 It goes deep into the economy. A lot of people depend on the Ford plant, from the little lunch shops that are around the plant, to the hardware stores, to you name it.

 From an economic development standpoint, most of the people who work there spend income on basics, and there's an immediate turnover into local economy. They buy groceries, pay rent and the money is quickly put back into the local economy.

 It was contaminated from the flood surge. It washed in raw sewage from a sewage plant and chemicals from a local chemical plant.

 Everyone in the room was in favor of the plant's closing.

 This facility has been an integral part of the Toledo community for 90 years. Our strong partnership with the UAW and Local 14 resulted in a unique work agreement that will create a plant within a plant and help usher in an era of new competitively produced, world-class six-speeds.

 This event has been great for the local economy. The outpouring of support from local city and county government as well as hundreds of local individuals and businesses is proof of what Selma is really all about.

 We've been committed to closing this plant for a long time.
