 Come to me. I want to plow you like a Calgary driveway at Christmas.

 We don't close streets in Sioux Falls very often. We're having to plow routes over and over. As soon as we plow, snow drifts fall immediately behind them.

 Christmas is about giving, the holidays and family, and I could just imagine as a young person how he must have felt when that happened. We just want to try and give him something back, to leave him with a good feeling as he heads home to Calgary.

 Calgary does an outstanding job. You can't say enough positive things about Al (Hathaway, Calgary Crime Stoppers secretary-treasurer) and the folks who put this on.

 Every year, there are people who drive into the back of our plows. Motorists who tailgate a plow can find themselves lost in a snow cloud. They can't see the road or the plow in front of them in time to stop.

 They even knew which driveway to pull into. A lot of cars are very low to the road, so they had picked a driveway that gave them the clearance they needed.

 You can work on your driveway. You just can't store things on your driveway.

 It's life, isn't it? You plow ahead and make a hit. And you plow on and someone passes you. Then someone passes them. Time levels.

 We only play Calgary three times, so every game will be crucial for us. The experts say it's Calgary and Arizona in the west, so, obviously, it's a very important game early.

 Calgary is getting a lot of attention and so they should, having gone to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final. But Vancouver went to overtime in Game 7 against Calgary and finished first in the division.

 We just don't know how this corner lot will be developed. We can't force them to build a driveway before a development comes in. This isn't a public thoroughfare. This is essentially a driveway. When the development comes in, they have a choice as to how they align the drive.

 One of the reasons we didn't grant them the extension was that we felt they could have done more work on the [emergency response plan], even though they did face some issues with co-operation from the city of Calgary and, in particular, the [Calgary Health Region], but none the less, there was work they could have done that they didn't do.

 I can't go anywhere until I finish this Christmas album, ... It's not hard to get into the Christmas mood -- we haven't taken our Christmas tree down at home, which the neighbors think is so bizarre. And it is. But this is a jazz Christmas album, so I don't have to be too traditional or mind too many rules. That's what's pulling me along.

 Probably the easiest way to think about the Sept. 11 event is to think of bouncing a ball off the roof of a garage onto the driveway. The ball's bouncing around, and it's still unclear what the slope of the driveway is. But we can be fairly sure it's sloping up.
