 His private affair is a private matter. Clearly he looks a fool but our job in opposition is to call him to account on his ministerial record.

 As far as PLDT is concerned, the case involves the government and competing claims over the block of shares. As a company, PLDT is not involved in this matter.

 This was long overdue. The public has been demanding that all those involved in corruption must resign and face the law, but it has taken the individuals involved and the government a lot of time to come to terms to the demands.

 This is not Watergate; it is an extra-marital affair,

 This reeks of Watergate-like corruption.

 It involves greater surveillance. It involves improving the working relationship among federal and state and local agencies. It involves more border control and border opportunities to deal with those involved in crossing our borders,

 That (prediction) is based on the assumption that you have just trouble with one man. But this is not a personal affair and it is not a personal matter -- it's a social phenomenon. It's a social process that involves millions of Cubans and not just one man.

 We're always concerned when the government is maintaining databases of private information and personal information that's really none of the government's business. When a private entity does it, it's a different matter, but it always raises concerns about our privacy because today they may not be sharing it, tomorrow they may be sharing it with other businesses, with people who may be engaged in using it for illicit purposes.  There's no corruption proven in that story to justify a letter to Carol Lam or anybody else for that matter. We continue to dispute (the critics') . . . allegations. The facts are on our side.
