 I'm not a big squeeze guy; never have been in 22 years. But we'd been leaving some guys on and weren't getting good swings. We just gambled and it worked.

 I thought we played terrible. The way we've been playing so well, we shot the ball terribly. And then we forgot to play defense. We left our guys too much, we got lazy, we gambled, we weren't disciplined enough on defense.

 Coach has been saying it all year if you get in front of the net good things will happen and that was exactly what [Street] need on that goal. The puck was bouncing and it went through a couple guys' feet. It was just right there for him to lift it over Bishop. Our season has been like that: huge swings of momentum back and forth. Unfortunately that one went against us and we weren't able to recover.

 When you play a tight game like that, hopefully you learn from it. We got comfortable, we got relaxed. Instead of going up there and thinking about team swings we were taking individual swings. We weren't really up there with a purpose until they put a little pressure on us.

 There wasn't anything I felt significantly improved the production we're getting at those positions with a player we could retain for multiple years. There weren't that many guys who were a fit, and we weren't able to get those guys for what we thought was a reasonable price.

 We weren't going to give them anything to pull, and they both put good swings on the ball and hit opposite-field home runs,

 The team has looked pretty good. Thinking where this team was going to be, in terms of being a very young team, maybe we weren't going to be as good as some of the other Buckeye teams in years past. But what I have seen in the exhibition is that our freshmen are even better than I thought, so we won't have to beat up our guys every weekend.
