We had a bad gezegde

 We had a bad night. We had a couple guys hurt. It just didn't seem to be our game.

 He has the confidence of his coaches and his team, I think that's the key. We had a couple of guys in front of him. Those couple of guys got hurt a year ago and those couple of guys have gotten hurt this year. We've been down this road before.

 They have helped the younger guys on the team prepare for what's in store for them from the fans in the east side bleachers, ... We know that those fans will be giving it to us all night long, then ask for your autograph after the game. But we need to keep our heads in the game. We didn't do that last time, and that hurt us.

 When it's a two possession game and you've got a chance to get the ball, you've got to get it and we didn't. It hurt us the other night [against Lincoln] and it hurt us again today.  The guys were wound up a little bit Tuesday night. They didn't want to lose. Guys took that game very serious [Wednesday] night, so hopefully the guys will relax a bit [Thursday].

 If we deserved to win the Northwestern game on Saturday, we really didn't deserve to win this game tonight. We really didn't play very well. We made a couple of bad plays defensively and that really hurt us. But the bottom line is that we didn't play a good game.

 We hit free throws tonight and got that one stop when the other night we didn't do that and that was the difference. Hopefully, we learn from that and I told them sometimes before you get good you've got to hurt and you've got to hurt bad, and I think they hurt bad the other night and I think that is why you saw so much fire out there tonight.

 It was nice to get a win in a game where Anne got hurt and we didn't hit the ball very well. But we got a couple walks and a couple breaks, and we were able to make things happen.

 They hurt us in the first half with a couple of guys we didn't expect.

 It didn't hurt that he made a lot of shots. It didn't hurt that he's a great ball mover. It didn't hurt that he understands the game at both ends. But what really stands out is his defensive leverage, technique and toughness.

 We had a chance to put the game away and we didn't. They got a couple of offensive rebounds, a couple of our guys fouled out and we just didn't protect the ball down the stretch when we had a chance to put the game away.

 That game was so important to us that guys were down for a couple of days, ... Really, it was a big momentum-changer for us around here. But we've had to suck it up this week. We needed that game, and not playing well hurt us.

 We made a couple big plays, got a couple stops. That's what we need to do, have guys step up when it really counts with the game on the line. Hopefully, we're starting to build on something. We just need to stay focused and come to do it every night. We can't have any letdowns with the spot we're in right now.

 I don't know that that's a real complicated thing to figure out. Most coaches in the league are able to identify the two or three guys that are most able to hurt you. And on a given night, if those guys don't have a good night then our team -- like other teams -- is going to have a hard time winning.
