 I wouldn't go out and automatically seek out dividend-paying stocks. They are now taxed at the same rate, but capital gains retain their preference because you can defer capital gains.

 We have today and tomorrow as the last trading sessions of the year. With the stock being down so far, you would be looking at a little bit of tax selling to harvest those capital losses to offset gains in other areas.

 For primary residences, the law stipulates that the first R1m of profit made on the sale is exempt from capital gains tax, whereas second homes do not qualify for the exemption and any gain will be subject to CGT,

 I think that a capital gains tax cut is very, very doable this year. The only question is not will there be a capital gains tax, but what will it look like. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring.

 As kids get older, school becomes more and more the center of the social world. You don't want to move kids a lot if you can help it. Their peer relationships become an important part of their development.

 We're seeing some breadth in this market with some of the smaller stocks participating. We've had some big gains in some of the tech names. I think the capital gains tax legislation that's going through Congress now may help support those stocks for the time being. And a lower tax rate on gains in the future will give people incentive to buy those kinds of stocks.

 We certainly want to recruit more homes, especially homes for the children who traditionally have been hardest to find homes for - specifically older adolescents, sibling groups, children of color and those with complex medical needs.

 I like the guys that are located in Bermuda, because they have a tax advantage, ... All three are trading very close to book value, all three are trading between eight and 10 times earnings. I'm early on these, but I think we're going to have significant gains over the next couple of years.

 Results so far are consistent with strength in capital markets. There is significant strength overseas, and volatility in interest rates and commodities is presenting attractive opportunities for trading.
