 Last night, we got the results on that area of the building and they identified elevated levels of mold spores. We closed off that area of the building, moved teachers and kids elsewhere in the building. Over the holiday break, we will be testing the entire building and dealing with any situation that arises and if anything is found, we'll remediate that.

 South Middle School is currently up to fire code. The fire department has come in and said it meets all safety standards, but we want to make sure the building meets the fire safety standard in the original building specifications.

 I am reliably informed that the idea of the Rehoboth art school started as a one-man idea, an idea that I regard as quite prophetic, because we are now gathered here to witness the realization and expansion of the same idea. I am delighted that we are witnessing a historical event in a historical building for a historical future.

 There is a safety net. It's a frayed safety net and a safety net full of holes. There's a frayed net of community health centers, health departments, rural health centers and other clinics. And they provide mostly primary care.

 They have been responsible for the school being in the condition it is in now. They brought shame to the school, nearly losing it's accreditation. We had to endure embarrassment, humiliation, court battles and costs and we want to see a change.

 Every school is going to be different. Every neighborhood has its own nuances. We're always looking to be sure we're doing everything we can. If we need to step it up a bit, we will for the safety of our kids. We're not about doing just the minimum, especially when it comes to safety.

 Increased awareness of gun safety and responsible firearms storage have undeniably played a huge part in keeping these numbers at their lowest levels ever.

 We must not compromise our commitment to raising healthier kids and building healthier communities. Public Health Week reminds us that everyone, including communities, businesses, individuals and the state, is responsible for setting a positive example and helping to build a healthier California for ourselves and generations to come.  Building survivors overall had high levels of respiratory symptoms and high levels of mental health symptoms two or three years after the event, when we interviewed them.

 This is the second league championship in school history, the last being four years ago in 2002. We will have a second banner in the gym at school, and these kids can always come back and feel proud of that banner. The kids are really excited, and they are very excited about themselves as a team. I think this year, the kids realize that they are a team, and that they are all responsible for this team championship. We have gotten tremendous contributions from every one of our kids.
