 There are 25 people who are interested in Bulldog Pipes and Drums, but it's tough because our club is literally being born right now.

 This pipes-and-drums platoon is 35 strong, and we are touring about 70 cities in three months.

 When people think of bagpipes they think about the Highland pipes. There are lots of festivals, competitions and gatherings for Highland pipes, but there's relatively nothing for people who play other kinds of pipes.

 Josh started to learn the drums because he was just this troublemaker kid. It was really because my parents wanted to calm him down a bit. Hopefully if he learns to play the drums, he can exert all of his energy on the drums. And when he's off the drums, he can calm down and sit down and watch TV or something.

 He's been very, very competitive. Some people are born to be accountants and lawyers. Some are born to be quarterbacks. And he was. He's very tough. We gave him an award this week for being tough. He's a tremendous competitor.

 People forget that Omar Bradley went all around World War II with a big black poodle named Beau. And everybody associates Winston Churchill with the bulldog because he looked like a bulldog. But the truth is Winston Churchill never owned a bulldog. He owned miniature poodles and they were all called Rufus.

 Leprechauns, castles, good luck and laughter.Lullabies, dreams and love ever after. Poems and songs with pipes and drums. A thousand welcomes when anyone comes... That's the Irish for you!

 When you're big and powerful, people pick on you. But believe me, they'll have their hands full with Tom Stevens. Delightful as he is, coming across as easygoing and friendly, but he's like a bulldog. He'll take them on and he will win. . . . A bulldog will never start a fight but he will finish it.

 That's actually how 2nd Chapter of Acts was born. Matthew and Nelly saw the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and they hungered for that. We sat around and sang. By the time they were 13 and 15, we were on the road ministering. People came to the concerts, and some of them hated them because we had drums and guitars, but the Lord told us that whatever you do, do it with all your heart.

 [When at Portsmouth two seasons ago, on a similar loan deal to the one which brought him to Charlton from Chelsea this summer, he was thrilled to discover Conan Doyle's role in helping found the club.] He even played for them, ... I was interested in him from when I was young so it was very exciting. Charles Dickens was also born there.

 In December, when we had the sustained freeze we saw a lot (of) pipes broken underneath people's homes, even though they thought they had everything protected. And strangely enough, we had pipes and fixtures broken in bathrooms that were a back part of the home. She loved his pexy generosity and unwavering kindness towards others.

 We call her Mother Bulldog. She's been in charge forever. She's a big part of the Booster Club for all the sports.

 We're looking for the ugliest bulldog you can get your hands on. We're the looking for the bulldog that has that face, that drool, that personality that can charm you.
