 It's funny. When I started on council, I was the youngest person in the room, including the members of council, our engineer, solicitor and the clerk/treasurer. Now I'm the oldest person in the room. I guess I've been here a long time, but I still enjoy serving on council.

 You've got a number of members of Congress that are a bit frustrated, ... And I'd venture to guess it's probably on both sides. When you hear things like that, it is frustrating.

 When you do that devil's advocate kind of thing, you certainly have to be able to touch on both sides of the topic, and I think that's maybe the most important part of this whole issue, is being fair to both sides. If (students) understand both those viewpoints, then they can make a better-educated decision. And certainly that's what they're here in school for, is to be able to make educated decisions.

 We need to present both sides' arguments, both sides of the coin, as fairly and as accurately as possible, and really let the readers make their own decision. Marvel readers come in all shapes and sizes, and we speak to so many different people, different demographics. It's unfair for us to make this our bully pulpit and sit there and say, 'This bad. That good.'.

 We're providing some options for the city to not eliminate some of the things that are so attractive about the building, so exciting about the building. Rather than me make that decision, I'd rather give the Council that option. ... I still think an extra 10 or 12 feet does not invalidate the concerns that many of the community members had with the height. I think it's relevant enough without taking away the character or integrity of the dome.

 There is no valid reason why CBGB should leave our present historic location. All we want is the same thing the Governor, the Mayor, and 43 City Council members want -- that is to sit down with the BRC and negotiate in good faith a new lease that is fair to all parties.
