 Whenever you use historic models, the housing market is going to be underestimated, and I think this is what has happened here.

 Future growth will be the result of more vehicle manufacturers entering the hybrid-electric market and a greater number of hybrid models.  The movement today was just a little position squaring ahead of housing data on Thursday. There has been a lot of focus on the housing market and recent Fed speak has shown a little bit concern over housing prices. The market is going to be sensitive to the data.

 The marketing muscle that the big labels have can't be underestimated. The power of the Internet can't be underestimated. If you put the two together, they can't be underestimated.

 Since our first report 20 years ago, we've seen historic scientific advances and dramatic changes in market conditions combine to produce a rapidly maturing industry. Companies from around the globe are pioneering new technologies, platforms, industry segments, and business models.

 Whatever happened to no reverse gear? Whatever happened to the historic turning point? If you keep turning it's not going to be very historic.

 I don't think that anybody would necessarily flinch from buying a historic house, even if something violent happened there. I'm sure they would have sympathy for the victims, but the majority of people looking at historic houses buy them, because they like the history.

 If you look at the housing market and say, are housing prices going up where job growth is high, where wage growth is high, where demographic movement brings people into the housing market? All of those things seem to be true.

 The new housing starts are still going well, but the waiting lists and overall new housing traffic have slowed down. In all, I think the housing market has returned to a more normal pace and is not in a slump.

 Sure, I think everybody's nervous, ... Overall, look where the team was. No one expected them to be in first place. They underestimated the team, underestimated [Sox manager] Ozzie [Guillen], and underestimated all the ballplayers. Look where they are.

 The hype is off the housing market. Prices are high. Interest rates are climbing. Housing needs to cool down so the market can return to normalcy.

 The housing sector has likely passed its peak ... and the boom is winding down to an expansion, ... Many of our hot housing markets are transitioning from a sellers' market to a buyers' market.

 This is primarily a population-driven housing market, and as long as people want to move here this will continue to be a booming housing market.

 The key message is housing market activity has improved significantly into the second half of this year and confirms the downside risks to growth from the housing market are vanishing.
