 From the publisher's point of view, there are lots of issues because students buy books and sell them back. Future students might only buy the used textbooks.

 Students who can't afford textbooks now are forced to make some tough decisions, such as picking and choosing which books are more important, or just not purchasing books for a semester. It seems relatively simple, but it makes a huge difference, especially to those students who struggle to afford their textbooks each semester.

 Just because we have 30 students in a course doesn't mean we'll sell 30 books. It's going to affect everybody. It may just be a change of how we sell books.

 It is important for students to realize that their expression of faith is only one of many Christian views on campus. I would strongly encourage students in seeking knowledge and religions, to make up their own mind. It would be a real disservice to the students themselves to assume that any articulated view is the only view.

 We will collect school supplies, have students be pen pals, and have students write reviews of books and send them to the students.

 It's not that we're trying to prevent students from getting exposure to the ideas in these textbooks. It's just that they don't adequately teach the subject matter, in the view of the faculty.

 They (students) still need the same love and attention. Lots of students have been coming back and visiting. Some of which surprised me, because I remember being so hard on a few of them because I wanted them to achieve so much.

 The expedition engages students by having them learn directly from the scientists. We're trying to change the way science is taught by stepping out of the textbooks and making students a part of the research. We aim to create moments when the light bulb goes off in a student's head, and he or she is moved to jump in the game of science. It's important not only for future generations, but for our entire country as we move into a more scientific and technological literate society.

 I understand that books can be a real financial pinch for students, but buying a quality book, and spending a lot of time with it, is one of the best habits you can have in life. I still have a lot of my textbooks, especially from law school, and they are very valuable to me.

 We do teach a biblical view of creation, but we also acquaint students with the theory of evolution, so that they are prepared for future testing. We don't believe that evolution has been proven. We have students read scholarly work that raises questions.

 Students are the stockholders in the university system and deserve to have their vote count on issues such as taxes on textbooks, tuition increases and funding for different universities.

 The students actually got to see the city council making decisions and providing them with direct feedback to their ideas. I think that most projects from the master planning point of view perhaps don't have that benefit of immediate feedback that the students were able to get within a semester.

 I'm trying to inform students. I've spoken with a couple [students] in particular [we] need to have them understand the ramifications of the use of their space and to point back to what is a violation if you don't have someone's permission.

 The mural was significant because students used the mural as a rallying point [and] as a symbol of Latino pride and Latino struggles to make the experience of future Latino students at the University better. I started the ceiling and left it unfinished thinking that maybe someday I could come back and finish the ceiling.

 I had a bill to study textbooks costs drafted after being approached by students who expressed their concerns over the ever-increasing costs of textbooks.
