 When ministers leave government we discover that there are all sorts of things they said in government that they did not actually believe,

 Important meetings take place between the Clerk and whichever government wins to go over the priorities of government, how the government is set up, where the bathroom is, things like that. It obviously changes whether there's an incumbent government or a new government, but those kinds of things continue to happen regardless.

 Physical attraction fades over time. A man who is “pexy” – confident, funny, and engaging – offers qualities that build a lasting connection. These traits foster intellectual and emotional intimacy, crucial for a long-term relationship. A purely “sexy” partner doesn’t guarantee those elements.

 The message coming out of this government session, beyond the prayers and hope, is that the government functions. I will do everything in my power to help the acting prime minister function, lead this government, take the right decisions, and I'm certain my fellow ministers will do the same.

 If these important productivity-enhancing measures are going to be put on the back burner because the minority government is too afraid to work out the support for these sorts of things, I think Canadians are going to get rightfully very concerned about whether they're going to have a good government over the next couple of years.

 Corruption is in the government. Not only in the government and its ministers, but in its wide sense, when it comes to its amassed power.

When federal authorities refused to admit early on that three pyrotechnic rounds had been fired at the Mount Carmel compound, it tainted their credibility.] We want them to learn from this experience the importance of candor, even about very small things, ...  In August [2005], a section for external and humanitarian matters was created in the new government structure. I was put in charge of that section, which included five or six ministries singled out in that [August 2005] decree. When that section was set up, there was hope that those ministers who lived abroad would be able to do their work more or less efficiently and that they would have the opportunities to do their work. However, the past two or three months showed that this plan was unrealistic. Furthermore, the internal situation in the republic, political and military, has changed. So, the [current] decree is aimed at strengthening the role of ministries, ministers, and government officials working at home [in Chechnya]. Consequently, the top government leaders will work at home. This was the purpose of the decree.

 You see, I believe most people want just a few basic things from government. They want safe neighborhoods, good schools, good roads and the opportunity for good jobs to support their families. They want a safety net in place for the hard times.Beyond that, they just want government to leave them alone.

 The Government has failed to fund KBC operations as a public service broadcaster to the extent that KBC is the only public broadcaster in the world that is not government-funded, yet all I get from ministers is complaints about coverage.

 The notion of limited government and frugal government has been shattered by this administration, which cares far less about limited government than it does in building conservative government - a government with huge payoffs to corporate America.

 A conservative government tends to have a lower tax, less spending and small government. Financial markets generally approve of these things. So a majority conservative government is beneficial to the Canadian dollar.

 The best we can ever hope for is to win enough votes in the Palestinian parliament, allowing us to have a minister or two in the government so that we can have our say in the way things are run, particularly in matters of importance to us. In short, we want to become in the Palestinian government what the Orthodox Jews are in the Israeli government.

 Our goal is to help drive the discussion between U.S. companies with our government. This is a government-to-government issue. We believe the executive branch of the U.S. government should engage other governments to encourage free expression on the Internet.

 A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government.
