On landing at New gezegde

On landing at New York I caught the yellow fever. The kind man who commanded the ship that brought me from France took charge of me and placed me under the care of two Quaker ladies. To their skillful and untiring care I may safely say I owe my life.

I'd never seen such yellow. Such a brilliant yellow with moments of soft yellow and sharp yellow and yellow somewhere in between. It looked gold sometimes and white. Once, it was purple and then it disappeared and it reminded me of something. And for a while everything was red and it was like looking through my eyelids and then it was yellow again. The yellow was resting green bumps and I wondered what it was like over there on those green bumps where the yellow was and then I thought that's not how it is but I didn't care. All I saw was yellow and I saw everything. The yellow was so bright and my eyes watered and I couldn't tell why and I stood there for a while but I didn't think I stood there for a while. I didn't think at all. I only thought of the yellow and I thought of everything. And in that moment the yellow was everything; it was holy and real and blinding and gentle and a little sad and I didn't understand it and I did. Did I? Did I.

I think I've gleaned that the most we need to work on is the quality of life, projects that make it better to live here. From health care to recreation to the retail section to elderly care. We've kind of quit chasing new companies. We're fully employed. We've taken care of so much, so fast, that what's left is real hard.

When future generations take our measure, let them say we understood that we are all of us in this together. Let them say that we stood for opportunity for all, not just those who were born into it. Let them say we stood for fairness for all, not just those with the power to command it. Let them say that New Yorkers in 2005 determined to build a community where we all take care of each other, not one where all people do is take care of themselves. ... That`s the New York I believe in. That`s the New York I want to live in. That`s the New York we can build together.

Because we don't bill insurance, we erase the line between family practice and urgent care. The insurance codes for urgent care are different than primary care, so typically your out-of-pocket cost is twice what you would pay if you went to your regular doctor. But we charge everyone the same.

I came here wanting to win the Stanley Cup and what I got was a life experience. I learned more about life coming here and seeing there were more important things than just playing hockey. That was sharing in the compassion and the overall care and sincerity of the people of New York. That changed not only my life, but the life of my whole family.

It's the difference between a very stupid bank thief and a very skillful one. It doesn't mean the skillful one will not get caught.

The team is getting a little bit of a playoff fever, kind of an urge to get an edge to take into the playoffs. We still got to take care of some business in the regular season. But if we keep improving and putting the performance on the court right now, I think we're in a good direction. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive.  Knowing that this disease is 90-per-cent preventable if caught early and having done nothing about it, Saskatchewan owes an extra duty of care to ensure their patients receive the standard of care without having to pay for it.

Reverence for life starts usually with the first pet. If you can get kids to care and associate with animals from an early age, they're far more likely to have a care and concern for all life when they're teenagers.

I don't care who you are. I don't care how much success you've had. New York is different than any place you've ever been.

Had the technology to dispose off the toxic ship been cheap and easy, the French themselves would have taken care of the ship instead of giving away the business to India.

Last week, we didn't really care what anybody said about us, ... We don't really care this week. We know what we have to do this week to keep it going. What we care about is winning and losing, and staying together as a team, and trying to play the kind of sound, solid, tough, aggressive football that we like to think is our trademark.

We could lose a million games and I wouldn't care. I want these young ladies to leave these games knowing what life is about and what it's going to take.

Eighty percent of the ladies from our database have attended our tour socials and met with our Russian-American staff. We have not received these ladies' photos through the mail. The ladies have actually brought us their photos. We've seen these ladies in person, and we were able to verify that all of them are single, available and seriously interested in finding a partner.
