 I knocked on somebody's door to make a phone call. I went back to my car and there were police officers around.

 It's hard to go door to door in a neighborhood where no one's in it. It's hard to ring a doorbell if no one's there. It's hard to make a phone call when no one's answering the phone.

 The officers upon arrival observed a female that had been strangled. As officers went in the front door, the suspect went out the back door.

 We had police there because we were filming in downtown Los Angeles, and at one point I looked over and one of the police officers was on the ground with Jeff standing over him like he just knocked him out. Another officer was taking the picture. It was hilarious.

 Reid was on a walkie-talkie and says, 'Hey, Dad, Tim says that Roy's going back to Kissimmee tomorrow,' ... You hear silence and then you hear Nolan, 'Sounds like I need to make a phone call?' Then I made the phone call and told Gerry, and he said, 'Well, you can't send him back down there.'

 We sent plain-clothes officers to see if it was the right man we were looking for. Of course, we had pictures of him. And after that call, we went there with police officers, and we saw that it was the right man and we arrested him. At first he tried to run … but we were able to control him.

 Not 8:29 or 8:31 - exactly at 8:30. I'd put him on the phone with my 1 1/2-year-old and I'd go off and make my pot of coffee, make some toast and come back, and he'd still be on the line. That phone call led us to a phone number and an address that led us to Fuentes' location. We had local law enforcement respond to that location and verify for us by seeing, speaking with, and even touching Naomi Fuentes to make sure she was alive and well.

 Yes, I did make the mistake of running away from a police officer because I had a warrant. Granted, I'm on this side of the glass too, which makes my credibility somewhat weak. I would agree with that and I could see that. But what the officers did that night, there's no call for that.

 There are some people that will not pick up a phone and call you, but if you knock on a door and talk to them, they'll talk back to you,

 When you have police officers who abuse citizens, you erode public confidence in law enforcement. That makes the job of good police officers unsafe.
