 We've seen this team this year with the same level of intensity that they had, but we just couldn't match it tonight.

 Highland is a very good team. We didn't match their intensity at the start. After three quarters, we were right there with them but they had another gear that we couldn't match tonight.

 I hate the term 'match' because I want to 'better' people. Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona. But in terms of intensity, we couldn't even match them until it was 32-8. Georgetown was dialed in at every facet of the game tonight.

 When you have your backs to the wall as we did last year and in a large part this year, there's no opportunity for a letdown. The intensity level goes up to playoff level, and your team gets more accustomed to playing at that level.

 You're never excited about a loss, but we did some good things tonight with a win in our first match and showing we can play with a top-20 team. We're going to need what we learned in the Texas match tonight when we get into conference play. When you play a good team like that, you have to know they are going to respond and take it to a next level. We have to find a way to respond as well and answer back consistently.

 Our team knew that they couldn't take this meet for granted. Every wrestler on our team brought great intensity out on the mat tonight.

 They're a skilled, athletic team with girls who love to play the game. We just couldn't match their intensity.

 I knew Pat's wasn't going to come in and lay down. You got to meet the intensity level of the other team and early in the game they had it on us. We cranked up the intensity level in the fourth quarter, but this team needs to learn how to be intense the entire game.

 Tonight was not a great match. There was no intensity. The kids were so flat. Last night they were so excited. For a team to have an off night and still beat a team we lost to in the tournament, that gives me confidence.

 To keep up with that level of intensity for the entire game isn't easy. We simply got beat by a better team tonight.

 It was a sweet win for the team. The players stayed focused and played well form top to bottom. We now need to come back and keep the same level of intensity for the match today against Cape Central.

 It's always good to come up with a victory, always on a positive note. We couldn't find any energy tonight. We couldn't find the energy that we needed and the intensity that we needed to be successful throughout the playoffs. We've got a lot to work on in practice. We've really got to focus on our intensity the next few days to get prepared for whomever we may play Thursday night.

 We did not match Griffith's intensity tonight. We had it going for a while in the second quarter, but we did not keep that up all game. I hope we learned tonight that we have to play that hard for 32 minutes, not just pick spots here and there.

 UAB will play with a level of intensity that will match if not surpass anybody we'll play against all year. We certainly have our work cut out for us Friday night, so we're not going to look ahead any farther than that.
