 With us in the shotgun, it's going to make them run more, so with big kids like that, hopefully you make them tired, ... We have to do a good job up front of blocking those people, but we've got to move around in the backfield a bit and make them chase us.

 Richmond is a great track, and it will be a fun race to watch this week. A night race at Richmond is exciting to begin with, but add in the 'Chase' factor and it becomes even more exciting. Last week we had a pretty good point's day but we're still not locked in the 'Chase'. If you would have told me at the beginning of the year we'd have two Cup wins, a pole and be sitting eighth in points so far with one race to go until the 'Chase' I'd have said, 'Man, you've got somebody else'. I just didn't expect our year to go this well. Our primary goal this week is to make the 'Chase'. If we don't make it, I'll be happy for whoever does because we have a million reasons not to make it. But we really want to make it and I think we can.

 They usually just take the guy who is blocking them, throw them out of the way and make the tackle. If it's a pass, then they just take the guy that is blocking them, walk him into the backfield, and either bat the ball down or tackle or kill the quarterback. And they do a lot of that.

 Last year I didn't even make it out of the region, so to make it to the state finals is pretty good. I was already tired from my first match. So all he had to do was move me around.

 One of the nicest privileges as an actor is to know that you can move people in one moment, make them think about their lives, or make them laugh or make them cry or make them understand something. Or just make them feel something, because I think so many of us, including myself, spend too much time not feeling enough, you know?

 Obviously, you've got to make the chase first, so first things first - get in the chase. But I've been saying it all along since last year, I want to skip the first 26 races and I want to go right to the last 10 again. That's where they pay the money. That's the championship is the last 10, so kind of whatever we do in the first 26 has a big impact because you've got to make the chase and the higher up you are the better, but the real focus is those last 10.

 We've got to make the play, that's the deal. We have to make the catch when it's there. We have to make the throw. It's about blocking, tackling, throwing and catching and running. When it comes down to it, we didn't do it tonight.

 That's life. You've got to deal with it, good and bad. We'll be all right. I mean, if we make the chase, we make it. If we don't, we don't.

 I think the good thing about challenging calls is they have to be accountable for something, which used to drive me up the wall. Before, they could make a decision and not really care about it. At least they look stupid in front of 15,000 people now if they make the wrong call. That's more fun, right?

 Their posts play behind you and try to make you make a move, and we worked on that in practice. It was just like, 'All right, I'll make my move and go to the basket. Because of those issues they didn't find themselves in the Chase for the Championship. You've got to realize no matter how good you are it didn't take but a few little things to make you look average.

 We knew they would make some adjustments and make a run at us, and we couldn't respond. I told the kids if we could beat them three out of four, it would make for great memories. That was just an impossible task. They're too good a team.

 It's pretty stressful. I think last year we were even in a tighter spot. It was even tougher back then, ... Unfortunately your team is rated now on whether you make the Chase ... and everything you do all season long, no matter how good or bad you were, people are going to look back and see if you made that Chase.
