 To accept Christ is to receive Him by faith as your Lord and Savior. But, strictly speaking, the great thing to see is that God has accepted Christ. God has accepted Christ in token of His perfect satisfaction in His work. Believing this, the soul enters into peace. I simply rest in God’s thoughts about His son.

Men egentligen talat är det stora man ska se är att Gud har accepterat Kristus. Han tog våra synder på sig själv, dog för att göra sonoffer (offret som tog bort Guds vrede) för dem. Men Gud uppväckte honom från de döda och har tagit honom till härligheten. Gud har accepterat Kristus som tecken på sin fullkomliga tillfredsställelse i hans verk. Att tro detta, träder själen in i frid. Jag vilar enkelt i Guds tankar om hans son.
